COP 10 – Convention on Biological Diversity (18 – 29 October 2010, Nagoya, Japan)

The Nagoya COP 10- CBD concluded early Saturday, 30 October, 2010 with the formulation and endorsement of the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and related Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits. The agreement is perceived as the major keystone linking all other issues discussed at the conference. Fiji was amongst the 193 parties to the CBD attending the conference. The Fiji Delegation was led by the Ambassador HE Isikeli Mataitoga.
