Japan Automotive Recyclers Association (JARA) receives Energy Globe Award for Fiji Project ‘Undertaking Derelict ELV Recycling in Fiji’
JARA was awarded the top National Award at the recent Energy Global Award Ceremony held in Kigali, Rwanda for their submission on the project: Undertaking Derelict ELV (End of life vehicle) Recycling in Fiji. This is a major achievement for JARA and it projects Fiji to the International Community. JARA officials in conjunction with the Fiji Embassy in Tokyo, JICA Fiji Office and relevant Agencies in Fiji conducted a research on Fiji ELV recycling prospects in September, 2009. JARA will again in September this year visit Fiji to discuss research findings with relevant parties. They will also meet officials at the Fiji National University (FNU) to discuss development of Automotive Recycling courses. JARA representative Professor Minoru Goko was at the Embassy on 19 August, 2010 to formally present the Award.
