PNG New Chancery Opens in Tokyo

The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea Rt Hon Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare today officially opened their new chancery in Tokyo. It is a magnificent building built in the form of a PNG Canoe. The opening of the PNG Chancery also coincided with the inaugural Air New Guinea second flight to Japan. A reception was later hosted by the PNG Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Immigration Hon Samuel Abal at the New Otani Hotel attended by over 600 guests.
