Supermarket Trade Show, Tokyo Big Sight (8 – 10 February, 2010)

Companies from four Forum Island Countries exhibited products at the 44th Supermarket Trade Show held in Tokyo. Exhibitors attending this year’s exhibition program remain positive about their participation at the event. The Ambassador accompanied by the First Secretary visited the display of Pacific Island products and commended the Pacific Islands Centre and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan for assisting traders and exporters from Forum Island Countries to showcase their products. It is important for products from the Pacific Islands to be exposed in this way because it is one of the best ways to showcase to a major international market like Japan and its traders, what we are producing for the export market.

Japan Agents and Distributors of Fiji’s Island Chill bottled water also managed a display booth at the exhibition. Based in Osaka, Island Chill Agents are optimistic of sales in Japan. They are also excited of the prospects of joint promotions with FET to market the Fiji brand that is associated with Fiji bottled water products.
