Osaka delegation to Fiji

A nine member delegation from Osaka led by Fiji’s Honorary Consul in Osaka Mr. Hirokazu Ishibashi visited Fiji from 24 to 28 August 2009 to scope investment opportunities. The delegation met FTIB and Government officials for a trade information exchange session targeting proposed investment areas. Meetings were also arranged with local investors and with Ministry of Public Utilities officials to discuss possible assistance for a water project under a goodwill arrangement for a locality/community that has no access to constant water supply. The delegation later visited Naisausau village, Namara, Tailevu as a possible locality for the water project. The delegation will now commence initiation on investment opportunities scoped and the water project.
